Three provinces, three rulebooks
Gaming in Canada is provincial. A property in Richmond answers to BCLC, one in Orillia to the AGCO, one in Calgary to the AGLC — and the differences show up at the door rather than in the brochure.
The most visible one is age: 19 in British Columbia and Ontario, 18 in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec. The second is smoking: some floors have a designated area, most do not.
Bring the right ID
A provincial licence, passport or provincial photo card. Health cards are not accepted as gaming ID in most provinces.
Book the hotel, not the floor
Rooms are sold like any hotel room. Casino access is not part of the rate and needs no reservation.
Check the entertainment calendar first
Rama and the Toronto property both run large venues; room rates move with the show schedule more than with the season.
Ask about the quiet floors
Every property here has rooms away from the venue side. They are not always offered unless you ask.

Common questions
Do I have to gamble to stay?
No. All four are ordinary hotels with a gaming floor attached; the rooms, restaurants and venues work perfectly well on their own.
What age do I need to be?
To enter the gaming floor: 19 in British Columbia and Ontario, 18 in Alberta. Hotel rooms follow the usual rules and are unaffected.
Is there a dress code?
Smart casual covers all four. None of them require a jacket, and none will admit beachwear or team colours.
Can I self-exclude?
Yes, at any of them, and the provincial programme applies across venues in that province. The desk arranges it without fuss — ask for guest services rather than the floor staff.
How do you make money?
